Artificial Intelligence (AI) is often defined as computer algorithms and programs that can perform complex tasks such as decision making, reasoning, content generation, perception and pattern recognition, and learning. The exact definition of AI is debatable, as many AI software perform different tasks and continue to develop in different ways. Generative AI is a specific subcategory of AI which generates images, videos, audio, and other media forms based on the vast databases the AI is trained off of.

AI is a heavily contentious topic, one that has major benefits and especially major drawbacks which can make the future of AI seem either hopeful or dreadful.
