I feel that both UDL and SAMR are worthwhile models and something I will definitely consider while teaching students in the future. Universal Design for Learning is a concept that I believe I had incorporated into my teaching philosophy before I knew of it; I have always wanted to create opportunities for and accommodate as many students and their unique as possible. So, it’s gratifying to see the BC education system promoting UDL.

The SAMR model is not one that I was familiar with, but definitely something I will consider more in the future. I think that, when introducing technology into a class, it should be taken into consideration how the technology is being used, what it adds to lessons, and how it can alter learning.
