I didn’t know much about the Provincial Outreach Programs before today, and I think they all are extremely beneficial and I am glad to see how they can help students and educators alike. I specifically looked into POPARD and found a lot of really good resources and information about autism, recognising common behaviours and characteristics of autism, and ways to accommodate autistic students in the classroom. I also looked into ARC-BC briefly and am intrigued by the assistive tools and devices that they offer. I assume that, in the future, I’ll need to continuously be researching more and gathering more information for my students, and the Provincial Outreach Programs seem to be invaluable resources.
